STEVE JOBS AT HOME IN 1982 — “This was a very typical time. I was single. All you needed was a cup of tea, a light, and your stereo, you know, and that’s what I had.” —Steve Jobs(via Everyone on the Internet)
I have yet to devote any space to it yet on this site, but one of my guilty pleasures (or geek fetishes if that makes more sense) is to see what other peoples desk setups look like, what kind of computers and equipment they have, type and configuration of furniture, and the software they use on a daily basis. This post, which I have unapologetically stole from MinimalMac.com, doesn’t really fall into any of those categories. But it does show one Steve Jobs back in 1982 (before the Mac even saw the light of day) sitting in his sparsely furnished living room sipping tea, reading and listening to music. It’s a rare look at the man behind the curtain. I wonder if we will ever see a similar picture of Steve, behind the scenes and away from Apple, in our life time. My money is on no, but I think it would be pretty cool if we did.
